GGaide, the Quebec video game industry’s fundraising conference for Centraide, returns December 6

Gear up for the most anticipated event in the Quebec video game industry! GGaide, the annual fundraising conference for Centraide (United Way), returns on December 6 with a captivating exploration of 30 years of game creation in Quebec. GIVING BACK IS A MULTIPLAYER GAME

An initiative of Techaide organized by Behaviour Interactive, Rovio and Tencent, with the support of LG2, GGaide is a unique opportunity for people in the video game industry to come together, learn, and have a positive impact on the lives of those who need it most. This year’s GGaide aims to raise $200,000 for programs run by Centraide combatting social exclusion and poverty.

30 YEARS OF VIDEO GAMES IN QUEBEC

The day-long conference taps the enthusiasm and showcases the expertise of Quebec’s world-leading video game industry, which employs more than 15,000 people and has evolved into one of the top five game development hubs in the world over the past three decades.

Animated by Fred Bastien, a well-known producer, director, host and artist, the conference will explore this storied and colourful history and consider the future of Quebec’s video game industry through keynotes and panel discussions on topics that include:

  • a study from la Guilde des jeux vidéo du Québec will present data showcasing the key ingredients of Quebec’s video game success story followed by a panel discussion Look to the future: predictions of the Quebec gaming industry with Chris Chancey and other distinguished panellists;
  • a look at the impact of Assassin’s Creed on the local industry, with Patrice Desilets and other important contributors;
  • Behaviour Interactive’s international success story;
  • the AI revolution and gaming;
  • and more!
